hey hey!! since i have the luxury of time today to blog before work starts, here i go! :) wanted to blog yesterday before i sleep, but my sis was hogging the com so i had to go to sleep first..dead tired yesterday but very fun :P (i think i am seriously workaholic)
all of the colleagues said that yesterday's crowd was like never before; christopher said we participated in making a history..do that say a lot about yesterday? basically from the moment we started the centre at 1030, till we "close" shop at 9pm, the queue has slight breaks of 2 mins in between now and then before extended till out of the entrance..haha it may explain if it's only me working at info, but for a better part of the time in the afternoon lin was there with me clearing the queue, and apparently it's the crowd's fault that it still extended till samsung..digital upgrade remained at 60+ for the entire day, even hitting 80 in the queue at a point of time..mobile queue went beyond 30 at the same time, and cable went up to 20+, with the sim card queue reaching 10+..haha when we walk out of the back room u can just see the seats in starhub are occupied so fully and orderly..two sides on each coach, and each side filled with the optimal number of people..haha the cust volume was like oh my god...fanny tended to 94 cust in the whole day, and junyi attended to 80+..chris, arial both went down to counters to serve cust for the whole afternoon and night, and according to chris he had never served as much cust in a day for the past 4 years he's in starhub as of yesterday..and we only manage to serve the last cust at 10++..when we close shop at 9 there were more than 10 in mobile queue, more than 60 in digital upgrade..totally blew away the previous record of having 30+ cust in the digi queue when shop closes..haha i went home at 11 while my seniors are all still doing the tally-ing and accounting for the transactions..in total there were 100+ mobile, 20 tech support, with 300+ digi for the whole day..phew!
and apparently with all those number of people waiting in the queue the waiting time for each cust is "approximately 2 1/2 hours"..and of course there are quite a number of dispute on that..i think luckily luckily we have the sms alert thingie so at least a number of cust are appeased and decreased the possible disputes..but there was this one cust that made a scene at the info and caused half of the waiting crowd to look at that direction..he basically slam the box at the "gate" into the info and scolded "tell me how long am i going to wait to change the bloody box" (haha i dunno y i like to repeat the bloody part :P) and guess what is my reaction ( other than the "ya i understand..hmm i'll go and ask the managers)? i practically burst out laughing at the backroom, with my mouth twitching to smile on my way there..i dunno y..i just laugh for at least a whole min before i calm down enough to straighten my face..LOL and when i got alvin out to see the cust he was basically crowded by more than 5 cust all complaining about the waiting time..LOL and the more funny part is that after the dispute cust met alvin it wasn't exactly alvin that sooth him down, but the fact that he met his old friend and can pass the time there..haha and he was suddenly 180 degree changed and being nice to me all of a sudden saying he didn't mean to scold me etc..haha which totally proof that theory junyi, stanley and I made when we had lunch together yesterday: the cust can all scold about the waiting time together and make friends just there at the centre, and with people knowing each other and "jumping" queue becuz of that, more "friendships" will be forged..see! starhub is a hub that people meet and share common interests :P and at least i know now that the kids in singapore have power over their parents because the parents came down to change to digi for the sake of their children..so nice :)
okay today is another day ahead so i shall forget all about yesterday..today got kim aka zy :)
